Click on the word "Register."
At this point, you will be asked for some basic information such as your desired username, password and e-mail address.
Your username and password are requested so that you can login as a member when you visit.
Your e-mail address is used to notify you of replies to your posts only if you select "Notify Me of Replies to This Topic" when you post a message.
Your e-mail address is not shared with other parities by TanneryWhistle.
As a member, when you log in, you will be shown the threads that you have and have not yet viewed:
A whistle icon with a red background indicates that there are posts in the category that you have not veiwed. Within the threads, a "new" icon will appear by the threads that you have yet to view.
Once in a while, your browser may not understand that you have read all the threads in a catagory . . . in this case, simply click on the words "mark as read" in the table below the posts.
Don't be squeemish!
The board is pretty easy to play with and to navigate.
If you do something that you don't mean to do, their are plenty of options including "cancel" and "reset" buttons. . . . and if you happen to mess up really bad, just drop us a line and we can fix it.
A few navigational tips:
The board is broken down into catagories.
Within the catagories are sub-catagories.
Within the subcatagories there are threads.
You can reply to threads within the sub-catagories or create new threads within them . . . just look for the links labeled "Reply" and/or "new thread" within the subcatagories and threads and click on the appropriate path.
Jump in and enjoy your visit!
